Visit the Blue Lagoon in Croatia with Šolta
The Blue Lagoon in Croatia, also called Krknjaši, lies by Drvenik Veli. Šolta is a separate island stop on combined boat trips. That distinction matters when choosing a day: a lagoon photograph tells you little about which village you will visit, whether lunch comes with the ticket or where you need to meet the boat.
Start with the departure address, then decide between Maslinica on Šolta's western coast and Nečujam on its northern side. The routes here combine the lagoon with an island visit, but they offer different days on the water. For the broader choice of island outings, read our Šolta tours guide.

Our picks: lagoon and Šolta trips
The Trogir boat trip includes a skipper and a Maslinica stop. For lunch onboard, consider the cruise from Split or the Nečujam trip from Okrug Gornji.

Maslinica or Nečujam: choose the island stop
Maslinica has a western harbour, stone waterfront buildings and seven small offshore islets. It is the Šolta stop on the 6-hour trip departing from Obala bana Berislavica in Trogir, which also names Solinska Bay. That outing includes the boat tour and skipper. Plan food and drinks separately; if equipment is central to your day, use the snorkelling comparison to choose a suitable option.
The 8.5-hour cruise from Obala Lazareta 1 in Split combines Čiovo, the lagoon and Maslinica. Donuts, a burger lunch with fries, water and juice are included, with wine during and after lunch. Paddleboards, inflatables and snorkelling goggles are available for water activities against a 10 EUR deposit. This suits a full day where meals and activities form part of the outing. Read more about the harbour on our Maslinica page.
Nečujam is the island stop named on the 8-hour outing from Toc 1 in Okrug Gornji. It visits the lagoon, Šolta and Čiovo, and includes a fish or meat lunch, rakija, wine, juice, dessert and coffee. Choose it for that route and meal combination. Nečujam's bay setting is different from a visit to Maslinica's western harbour, so choose the place you want to experience rather than treating every Šolta stop as interchangeable.
Speedboat versus full-day cruise
A speedboat format and a full-day cruise should be compared through the actual programme. The number of destinations alone leaves out time spent travelling, the meal arrangement and the character of the island stop. The 6-hour Trogir route is shorter than the 8.5-hour Split cruise; this makes the former worth considering when you want a more compact day and the latter when you want the included lunch and water activities.
For a boat reserved for your own party, compare private Šolta trips. Private capacity and inclusions belong to each individual product. They should not be inferred from the size of another boat or from photographs of the lagoon. Keep your chosen start address alongside your accommodation plans, especially when arriving from elsewhere on the coast.
Departure points in Split and Trogir
Split and Trogir are mainland departure bases, while the Okrug Gornji address is on Čiovo. Travelling to the right meeting point is part of the day's planning. A ticket starting in Trogir should be matched to that harbour rather than to Split's ferry terminal. These lagoon trips also differ from the scheduled ferry to Rogač; use our ferry guide if you want independent time on Šolta.

Wind, swimming and a realistic plan
Boat days depend on wind and sea conditions. Pick a day with room in your schedule for changes, and follow the crew's instructions for entering and leaving the water. A swimming stop is a part of the route rather than a promise of identical conditions at every bay. For seasonal context, our weather guide explains the difference between historical climate and a short-term marine forecast.
Keep towels, personal sun protection and any equipment you specifically need in your own packing plan unless your selected trip includes them. A lagoon-and-island outing is a practical way to experience both landscapes in one day, while an independent stay gives more time to explore the island's paths and villages.
